The Missing Piece - Parents Make a Difference

These sessions emphasize techniques for creating a welcoming school environment and setting the stage for engaging parents as partners to be active participants in their children’s education.  Families will come away understanding that their participation is necessary for improving their child’s success in school.

School, Family and Community Partnership Team Training

When:  October 23rd | 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and October 24th, 2008 | 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Where: Chandler Unified School’s District Office (Board Room)

This day and a half workshop based on the National Network of Partnership Schools model is designed for school teams interested in developing programs of partnership. Facilitator will introduce a framework for parental involvement; discuss challenges to excellence and link partnership activities to results.

WORKSHOP IS FREE. Registration deadline is Thursday, October 16th. Continental breakfast
and lunch will be provided. School teams should bring a copy of their school improvement
plan to use on 10/24. Please register all team members who will be attending.
